Cherry Burton CC

MEMBERS OF Cherry Burton CC have recently set up The Godber Foundation, a charity named in honour of their former chairman Ashley Godber, a Beverley businessman and enthusiastic cricketer, who died in a road accident en route to play for his beloved club in May 2017.
At the time of his death, Ashley was busy preparing to run the Hull 10k to raise £5,000 for youth development at Cherry Burton - a target subsequently met by family, friends and colleagues - and The Godber Foundation aims to build on his work by creating more cricketing opportunities in the East Riding, particularly in youth, women’s and disability cricket.
In support of this excellent cause, a gala Cricket Evening - with Notts CC star Steven Mullaney and special guests - will be held at Lazaat, Woodhill Way in Cottingham, on Saturday, February 3, at 7pm. Cost - £40 per person / £350 per table of 10 - includes a two-course meal, Q&A, a sports quiz, casino table and a live band.
For further details please contact Chris Wilson on 07872 021 701.
